All Their Favorites In One Muffin

If you’ve ever found yourself with a couple of spotty bananas on the counter and hungry little voices asking for a snack, these Banana Berry Oat Muffins are for you. They’re soft and comforting like banana bread, with hearty oats and bursts of yummy berries mixed in, very easy to love.

Why We Love These Muffins

These muffins check a lot of boxes for busy days with kids:

  • Soft and moist, even after a couple of days
  • Made with simple pantry ingredients
  • Easy to pack for snacks or serve with breakfast
  • A great way to use ripe bananas and extra berries
  • Freeze great, so make once and have plenty for later

They taste like banana bread, but the oats make them feel a little heartier — which means they actually stick with kids longer than a sugary snack.

Notes

Storage Notes

  • Room Temperature:
Store muffins in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days. To keep them extra fresh, line the container with a paper towel to absorb any moisture.
  • Refrigerator (Optional):
You can refrigerate them for up to 5–6 days, but note that this may dry them out slightly. Bring to room temperature or microwave for 10–15 seconds before serving.
  • Freezer Friendly:
    These muffins freeze beautifully!
    • Let them cool completely.
    • Wrap individually in plastic wrap or place in a freezer-safe bag or container.
    • Freeze for up to 3 months.
    • Thaw at room temperature or microwave for about 30–45 seconds for a quick snack.

Great for Make-Ahead Snacking

These muffins store well, which makes them perfect for meal prep. I like to make a batch at the beginning of the week and keep them ready for busy mornings or snack time.

They also freeze beautifully, so you can pull one out when you need a quick, no-stress option.
